Safety & Care
Neodymium magnets have an incredibly powerful magnetic field. Extreme care should be taken when dealing with some of the larger sizes. Even a pair of 1/2"x1/8" discs can cause a reasonably uncomfortable pinch. Separating magnets may be difficult and will most likely require that you slide them apart as you probably will not be able to pull them apart.
Care should always be taken when handling any magnet near someone with a pacemaker or any other electronic equipment and magnetic media such as VCR tapes.
Neodymium magnets tend to be brittle and can shatter into small pieces if allowed to slam together. They are also not suitable for machining due to their brittle nature.
Unless otherwise noted, Neodymium magnets will start to lose their magnetism at temperatures above 80c (176F).
