You very rarely see Wileman trios of this size for sale. It's not possible to see from the images but this trio is significantly larger than a normal set from a tea service. This set has come from a breakfast set. The cup is larger; the saucer is larger; the side plate is also larger. 
This Wileman set is decorated in the dark blue version of Wileman's Fern Print pattern. The blue - almost flow blue - contrasts very well with the white of the porcelain. The gilded finish on all three items just completes the picture. The fine gold detail on the handle of the cup is particuarly nice.
The cup shape is Violet. The pattern number 9122 was first used in 1899 which is the same year the shape was introduced.    

  • The cup has no chips. It does have a faint hairline near the base of the cup on the inside but this does not penetrate through the cup and it still gives an adequate" ping". The gilding round the rim is quite worn.    
  • The saucer has a star crack in the middle but still "pings" well. The gilding is very worn.     
  • The plate is undamaged - there are no chips, cracks or crazing. It "pings" beautifully. The gilded edge is quite worn in several places but it is roughly 50% intact overall.  

Measurements

  • The plate is around 7.75 inches (19.5cm) in diameter.
  • The saucer is around 6.25 inches (16cm) in diameter.
  • The cup is about 2.75 inches(7cm) high.
