Item Description

BugsGear are a Japanese ukulele company set up in 2004. They are most famous for their electric EleUkes. These are solid bodied, battery powered electric ukuleles and they have a very distinctive look and cannot be described as electro acoustic as they have no sound box and are very quiet in use.

From the Eleuke Jazz Style Cutaway CCJ range, this is a Concert size electric ukulele in Mahogany with free soft padded bag.

Apart from being superb ukulele's that have their own unique look one of the main selling points is that Eleuke's are silent in use when not being amplified. The obvious advantages being they can used virtually anywhere without distracting others and perfect for late night practising. Thanks to the inbuilt pre-amp the Eleuke can be heard large as life just by plugging in a set of headphones.

Although quiet to anybody observing, when you plug in a standard set of headphones you can hear every note clear as a bell. But they really come into their own once plugged in and amplified through a good quality acoustic amplifier with an amazingly clear acoustic type sound. This is thanks to the same type of under saddle Piezo bridge pick-up found on electro acoustic guitars. The output is controlled from the pre-amp via volume and tone controls and has a standard quarter inch jack plug output to headphones or to an amplifier.

New MP3 Feature - Players can now mix what their playing to any song by simply plugging in their MP3 players to their EleUkes using the provided cable. Recording? Simply plug the cable(included in the softbag)to the earphone jack and your PC's Mic input then, you can record your EleUke play into your PC. Learn to play songs while listening to the original track. The MP3 input and EleUke volumes are adjusted separately to get the perfect mix. Musicians will find the ultra-portable EleUke with its included gig bag and new MP3 play-through features hard to leave at home. This electric Uke will should find its way into the hands of every adventurous player.

The uke itself is solid with no soundbox and the MHP range is made from Mahogany for the body, neck and head. The nut, bridge and saddle are Rosewood.

We use a fully secure checkout system integrated by ebay and Paypal which allows payments directly by credit or debit cards in addition to normal Paypal payments and Postal order payments.
We ship to any address (not PO Boxes) you select including work, school, friends, family, neighbours, etc when paid for by PayPal. The delivery address required must be entered on

We ship all orders the same day Monday to Friday where payments clear by 2pm. 
Deliveries are made Monday to Friday excluding UK Bank Holidays.
Delivery times are dependant on the service selected. Most items to mainland 
UK (excluding Highlands) are delivered the next working day except for items 
sent by 2nd Class Post. We charge the same price to all UK addresses but 
delivery times and the services used to UK offshore destinations may vary from 
those advertised.
We ship items to the whole of the EU (Excludes certain areas outside EU tax rules such as The Canaries ). For shipping to 
Romania, Cyprus, Tax Free zones and offshore destinations please contact us before purchasing. 
Certain large items can only be shipped to Mainland UK addresses.
All items are insured for damage in transit and loss However we recommend selecting a signed for service such as recorded delivery as occasionally the Post Office do mislay items and they do not deem them lost for 3 weeks. We can provide proof of shipping for  all items.

All items excluding consumables such as strings, etc are covered by a 12 month return to base warranty unless stated otherwise in the product details.
All items are covered by a 14 day money back guarantee from the day of receipt. We are sure you will be delighted with your purchase but whatever reason you are unhappy with your item please email us and we will respond with details for the return.
Items returned under the 14 day money back guarantee are the responsibility of the customer until safely received by us. 

All items returned must be fully complete in original condition, in the original packaging with all labels and instructions. Refunds will be made once the item has been fully checked and inspected. Refunds will be for the price of the item excluding any shipping or associated costs
Items faulty or damaged on receipt must be reported by email within 2 working day from receipt. 
Faulty/damaged returns/collections will be made based on the original shipping 
service paid for and will be free of charge to the customer once the returned 
item has the reported fault verified. Items returned as faulty but found to be working on receipt will have a charge for re-sending the item applied.
Faulty items will be exchanged or a refund offered and please report to us by email with 28 days. For faulty items outside 28 days, please contact us by email and we will provide instructions for the return. The return to us will be at the customers cost and we will pay the return shipping.
