WHAT A LOVELY HIGH QUALITY FISH SLICE! Here we have a quite splendid solid silver fish slice by very good makers and in a highly rare and desireable pattern. A most beautiful early Victorian piece,it is of quite immense weight and gauge!! It is assayed in 1838-year letter C. It is made in London,makers' mark is for Samuel Hayne & Dudley Cater. It has crystal clear hallmarks to blade. Actual silver weight is a sublime 207 grams (6.66 troy ounces)! The condition is FANTASTIC!! For reference slice is 11.875 inches in length,it is thus of very large size indeed. A lovely serving piece,it is clearly a result of the highest quality workmanship imaginable as proven by its sheer weight. The pattern is called 'VICTORIA' and is named after Queen Victoria. It is engraved with gothic initial C. IN NEED OF A GOOD HOME WHERE IT CAN BE USED EVERY DAY. This exquisite piece is of the highest quality and well worth owning.
