The am/fm motorcycle radio is the perfect answer for having tunes on your motorcycle, atv, snowmobile, or yes, even your golf cart. If it has a 12 volt battery, the motorcycle radio will hook right up to it. The only real requirement is the the speakers are designed to mount to 7/8" pipe, tubeing or handlebars. Power for the radio is done with 3 wires. A red wire for power to the radio, and it can be connected to full time power, or to key on power. The orange wire is for the clock and radio memory, and must be connected to full time power. The black wire simply goes to any good ground, or the negetive terminal of the battery. The LCD display is backlit whenever the radio is on. The clock displays whenever the radio is in the off position, but only draws a couple of milliamps, so just like the clocks on some of the newer motorscooters out there, this unit will not drain your battery. The speakers are only 2 1/2" in diameter, and sound amazingly good for their size. The main unit is only about the size of a pack of cigarettes, and has an input jack for you ipod, mp3, or cd player. There is also a jack on the front panel for headphones or helmet speakers. The yellow wire you see in the ad is actually the antenna, but can be connected to another antenna if desired. You can either mount the radio using the supplied metal bracket, or the bracket can be removed and velcro will hold this light little radio just fine. On the trike in the video, I simply connected another wire to the yellow wire, and ran it to the rear of the trike where I connected that to a homemade antenna about a foot long and positioned vertically. The antenna was not on yet when I made the video though. My little motorcycle radio now receives as good as the stereo in my pickup truck. I did experience a little station fading in and out before I did that, but I don't live close to any radio stations, so that was to be expected. I love my new little radio, and im sure you will too. I love mine so much, I made that video for Grapebaiwans to put in his ad.
