This kit is ideal for larger vehicles. The usual selling price for these system range from around £199 to £299 depending where you buy it from! Just have a look around some of the motorhome accessory shops. The kit comes with all the wiring required. You can wire this up easily to have it give a continuous view.

The 7 inch monitor comes with its own stand. It is powered from the control box which gives it the 12 volt power supply it requires. The control box will automatically adjust to any DC power between 12 and 24 volts. It also provides the 12 volt power required by the camera. The only electrical connections the need to be made to the vehicles electrics is a wire to the ground, one to a 12 volt or 24 volt positive supply and one to the reversing light. The monitor uses a brand new TFT panel and has auto NTSC/PAL switch over. It has an additional AV input.

The camera is a high quality colour CCD bracket camera. CCD cameras give a much better picture than the cheaper CMOS variety. The CCD cameras cost around twice the price of the CMOS ones. When comparing prices with other systems look to see if they are the cheaper CMOS variety. It is worth paying the extra for the CCD version. It has a 120 degree lens angle, with 512 x 582 pixel and a Sharp CCD sensor. It has auto back light compensation and auto white balance.
