FAIRING PROTECTORS 

 

BRAND NEW SET OF  CRASH MUSHROOMS PRECISION MACHINED FROM HIGH DENSITY ACETAL ( CESTILENE HD500) SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR CRASH MUSHROOMS:-

  • Good sliding properties (SEE GRAPH BELOW)
  • Strong and rigid
  • Resistant to amny oils, greases, diesel, petrol and cleaning fluids
  • Increased surface hardness
  • Weathering resistant
  • COME WITH ALL FASTENERS REQUIRED

    THE  FRAME MUSHROOMS  ARE MADE FROM HIGH DENSITY ACETAL AND COME  COMPLETE WITH M10 X 1.25 DE-EMBRITTLED (WILL NOT SNAP ONLY BEND) FINE PITCH BOLT. NOT CHEAP RUBBISH AS MANY OTHER PEOPLE SELL ON EBAY.

    SIZE OF THE MUSHROOMS ARE 50mm DIAMETER X 100mm max. OPPOSITE SIDE 50mm DIAMETER  x 84mm max

     

  • This set of sliders will fit on a 99-02 SV650 sportbike.  This kit bolts right on, with NO modifications to NAKED MODEL. FAIRED MODEL NEEDS MODIFICATION TO THE FAIRINGS  These sliders bolt into the FORWARD engine mount, replacing the existing bolts.

    NO fairing cutting on these models:

    • 99 - 02 NAKED SV 650

    You MUST CUT the left fairing on these models:

    • 99 - 02 FAIRED SV 650

     IF YOU HAVE THE OPTIONAL LOWER FAIRING, BELOW ARE THE FITTING INSTUCTIONS:-

    Installation Instructions: Remove your fairings, and find the engine mount locations where the sliders fit. They are made for a specific location. They will only fit in one place, and in one orientation. Once you have the sliders mounted, you need to cut the fairings so that the sliders stick out of the fairing if cutting is necessary. 

    REMOVE FAIRING AND PAINT END OF BOLT

    OFFER FAIRING ON TO THE BIKE - BOLT WILL LEAVE A MARK ON INSIDE OF FAIRING

    PILOT DRILL AND CHECK IF IN CORRECT POSITION

    USE A CONE CUTTER TO DRILL OUT TO DESIRED DIAMETER COMING FROM THE OUTSIDE OF THE FAIRING

    REMOUNT FAIRING AND CRASH MUSHROOMS
