Strathspey - Giant new 15x70 binoculars for astronomy

WINNER! We came 1st and 3rd in Sky at Night magazine's 10x50 group test!

These binoculars have larger than normal 70mm objective lenses housed in a tough but light case. The large objectives give good low light performance (double that of 50mm), perfect for amateur astronomy or bird watching at dawn or dusk. Ideal for scenic observation from your house or caravan, yet small enough for your car's glovebox unlike our other giant binoculars.

These use our level IV lens coatings, the top specification! They have five layers of coating on every air-glass boundary all the way through the binocular. This gives excellent light transmission and super sharp images of stars or scenery.

These have a lower 15x magnification than our other Giants. But this gives them a 4.5 degree field of view compared to 3.0 for most of our others. We find many customers prefer this as they can see more of the sky at once. Perfect for roaming around the constellations. Remember, these were Sky at Night's "what to buy for Christmas" choice!

They can be tripod mounted using our inexpensive L bracket (5.99+VAT) but are light enough to hand hold. Almost half the weight of our larger tripod / centre bar equivalent!

These binoculars have fold down rubber eye cups, so are perfect for spectacle wearers.
