Calcite is a lovely, emotionally balancing stone which amplifies thought and alleviates fears and stress.  It releases energy when placed under pressure, and is an energy amplifier.  It is believed to aid memory, both in mind and body, assisting the mind to remember information acquired during astral travel and channelling, and the diseased or sick physical body to remember the state of perfection required to return to wellness.  It has the ability to amplify and intensify energy directed through itself, and can be used to clear and activate all the Chakras.

Orange Calcite is a highly energising and cleansing stone which works particularly effectively on the lower Chakras.  It can balance and mobilise our energies, particularly in relation to creativity and sexuality.  It can help with the removal of fear and in overcoming depression.  This stone can help with the healing of childhood abuse and trauma, can promote playfulness and encourage confidence.

This stone is said to be a world teacher for all humanity, giving an awareness and appreciation of the creative forces of nature.  Calcite possesses the unique optical quality of double refraction, and because of this quality, it is used by magical practitioners to 'double the power' of a ritual or rite.  When used for this purpose, the stone should be worn, or placed on the altar during the ritual or rite.  It is also said to speed up spiritual development, and to restore faith in those who no longer believe in the possibility of positive developments in their life.  It can bestow stability, emotional constancy and help us to have trust in ourselves, and improve the ability to discriminate.
