Diesel engines are designed to use fossil diesel, which contains additives. Running on a fuel for which the engine was not designed without appropriate additives is asking for trouble.

 

Vplus7 fuel treatment for vegetable oil or biodiesel

 

 

For environmental and economic reasons more and more people have switched to the greener option of using vegetable oil as a diesel fuel. If you have converted your car to run on SVO (e.g. a twin tank system), or you are using a mixture of vegetable oil and mineral diesel, you might have noticed a gradual decline in performance. Vegetable oils will tend to leave much harder deposits in the engine, and are less stable than diesel.

 

Warning: Long term running on vegetable oil without suitable additives can damage the engine and significantly reduce its life. Increased maintenance costs could easily exceed the money saved on fuel.
