Solid Oak early 20th C Arts & Crafts Wall Bookcase

This superb solid oak wall-hung bookcase is ideal where space is limited, allowing you to store your treasured book collection and, at the same time, adding a touch of country charm to your home.

Comprising of a central book shelf with two open corner shelves either side, this has its original cafe rail which is designed to hold a small curtain to keep your books dust free. Whether you choose to use this for the purpose for which it was designed, or prefer to remove it, it unscrews if not required, but makes a nice original feature.

The whole piece has a decorative shaped pediment and sides. All joints are sound and it has no evidence of woodworm. Due to it being of solid oak, this is a heavy piece, so please note shipping cost. You are, of course, welcome to collect by prior arrangement.

As with all my listings, this is a vintage item and as such does come with some evidence of age. If you are looking for pristine condition, then this might not be for you. I do try to give an accurate description of the condition, as I hope my feedback testifies, but this is always relative. I would urge you, therefore, where possible to arrange a viewing by prior appointment to satisfy yourself prior to bidding. Do bear in mind that Ebay final prices often reflect the fact that an item is being bought sight unseen and, there is, therefore, an element of risk , which is why it is always preferable to buy from a Reputable Power Seller like ourselves, with a long-established 100% Positive Feedback Rating. That said, the end price is likely to be much lower than you would pay in an antique shop where the cost of overheads is built in to the retail price.

1. Personal Cheque: I allow 5 working days' clearance of cheques from banking, so please bear this in mind if you require your item quickly. As we are in a village, it is not always possible to bank cheques on the day of receipt. You might want to consider an alternative method, if so. Would you please make cheques payable to J. 2. Pay Pal: If you wish to pay by Debit or Credit Card it is easy to do so via Pay Pal. It is the Seller who is charged for this service and while we do not pass this cost on to the customer, we would appreciate prompt payment via Pay Pal. It can take up to 5 days for a Pay Pal payment to be transferred to our bank account - so if you delay payment by Pay Pal, this delays our reimbursement costs to that extent + the extra 5 days!

3.Please email for arrangements if you are planning to collect personally. Please note that our courier's driver is not authorised to accept cash on our behalf, representing, as they do, a separate company. We will notify you upon close of the transaction if we are able to offer personal delivery, in which case an alternative method of payment might be possible. Please email in advance to ensure this is possible.

NON-PAYMENT

Unfortunately, I have now had my fair share of non-paying bidders so I regretfully have to point out that a Payment Reminder will be sent automatically after 5 days via Ebay.

After 7 days a Non-Paying Bidder dispute will be opened and if no satisfactory response is received during this process, you will receive a non-paying bidder striket. There should be no necessity for it to get to this stage, if the buyer emails or phones to say there was a good reason why they had bid but have now had to delay payment. Communication really is the key to a trouble-free transaction.
