Adapter to fit T and T2 mount telescopes or accessories to Canon EOS (D)SLR Camera Body
    (Canon EF mount including all film and digital models)

This brand new adapter will allow you to use T2 mount lenses, slide duplicators, bellow units, astronomical telescopes , microscope adapters and a number of other attachments on Canon EOS cameras.

This ring screws on to a T mount "camera adapter" tube which is designed for your telescope. This will have a 42mm diameter male thread with a 0.75mm thread pitch. If you do not have this you will need to obtain one from your telescope supplier.

There is a common misconception that all threaded camera lenses are "T mount". Whilst it is true that a few modern lenses are designed with a T mount, the majority of the older screw mount lenses are Pentax M42 (also used be Zenit, Praktica and a number of other manufacturers). In each case the thread diameter is 42mm however the T mount has a finer thread (0.75mm) than the M42 (1.00mm).  The T adapter is aproximately 7mm thicker than the M42 adapter so you are unlikely to get focus to infinity if you buy the wrong item.
