WELCOME TO THE GREAT ORMOND STREET HOSPITAL ( G.O.S.H.) STARCARDS 2009 GUITARIST EXTRAVAGANZA AUCTION SPECIAL.
StarCards are auctiontioning a collection of signed Great Ormond Street Hospital playing cards by legendary & renowned guitar players from the 5th November 2009, including -
Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton, Gary Moore, Steve Vai, Francis Rossi, Rick Parfitt, Phil Hilborne, Neil Murray, Paul Carrack, Joe Brown, Scott Mckeon, & Ramon Diaz
The auction starts at HERE from 8pm on the 5th November 2009 and finishes 10 days later on Sunday 15th November 2009 at 8pm.
Highlight of the auction is a Fender Stratocaster Mark Knopfler signature model donated by Fender UK and Bonnersmusic.co.uk of Eastbourne with a hard case as well as a unique display cabinet donated by Wallsoffame.co.uk. The Fender will be signed and personalised by Mark for the winning bidder and will be on display at Bonners until the 15th November.
IN THIS AUCTION :
You are bidding on a hand signed Great Ormond Street Hospital playing card. The 2 of Diamonds has been hand signed by Guitarist Steve Vai and is displayed with a colour photo of Steve with his custom Ibanez guitar and a smaller photo of Steve holding his StarCard. The finished framed display measures 52cm wide by 46cm high and is completed with a presentation plaque.This has been professionally framed by wallsoffame.co.uk.
Steve Vai is an Italian American instrumental rock guitarist, songwriter, vocalist, producer, beekeeper, and actor. After starting his professional career as a music transcriptionist for Frank Zappa, Vai would also record and tour in Zappa's backing band starting in 1980. The guitarist began a solo career starting in 1984 and has released 13 solo albums as of 2008. Apart from his work with Frank Zappa, Vai has also recorded and toured with numerous musical artists including Alcatrazz, David Lee Roth and Whitesnake. Vai has been a regular touring member of the G3 Concert Tour which began in 1996. In 1999 Vai started his own record label Favored Nations with the intent to showcase, as Vai describes: "...artists that have attained the highest performance level on their chosen instruments."
