FANTAS ANTIQUE VICTORIAN STRIPPED PINE BOX TRUNK COFFER

  Victorian Pine Box

Dating to the middle of the 19th century, this box is a six plank coffer. That is, it's made of six planks of timber. Each side, the top and bottom are single planks. These are held together with hand cut rose head nails which are visible on the front and back.

This is a super box with lovely grain figuration and quite rare to find in pine.

The box has it's original blacksmith made iron strap hinges and carry handles. The lock is also original to the box but there is no key.

The box is has recently been stripped and polished with 3 coats of wax giving it a warm honey patination.

The box measures;

41 inches wide

16.5 inches deep

16.5 inches high.
