FANTASTIC ANTIQUE SOLID OAK FRENCH ARMOIRE / WARDROBE

  French Oak Armoire

 Dating to the last quarter of the 19th century, this stunning Armoire is in very good condition. It is quite large but will dismantle completely flat so will fit up most stairs.

Standing on scroll feet the armoire has a full width bottom drawer which is constructed with hand cut dovetail joints and has it's original swag handle.

To the inside there are 3 shelves which can be removed if needed, with the central shelf having 3 drawers.

This is all enclosed by a pair of pannel doors. The pannels have been carefully slected and quarter sawn to show the fine madullery rays. The left hand door is held closed by a simple hook while the right hand door is closed with a workoing lock. (this lock is a later replacement)

The ogee cornice is complimented with the turned finials and raised carved pedement.

This really is a superb example of French furniture and would compliment the bedroom of any home traditional or modern.

There has in the past been a small amount of insect attack to the back of the cornice and the bottom of the armoire, but this has been sprayed with a 5 star 30 year treatment.

The armoire measures;

54.5 inches wide / 60.25 to outside of cornice

19.5 inches deep / 22.75 to outside of cornice 

88 inches high / 97.5 to top of pedement

The cost to deliver this armoire to  England, Wales and Scotland (Glasgow to Edinbourgh) is £70.00.

This will be delivered by a specialist Antique  courier and will usually be with you within 10 days, but please allow up to 21.
