The 881a Lux Meter LCD Digital Display marks a step forwardin the field of precision measurements. Although this LUX meter is a complex and delicate instrument, it’s ruggedness will allow many years of use.

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Connect the battery, and then press the button to “ON”

Press the range selection switch to desired range.

Remove the photo detector cap and face it to light source in a horizontal position.

Read the test value from the LCD display.

Over range: if the instrument only display one “1” in the M.S.D., the input signal is too strong, and a higher range should be selected.

Data-Hold mode: press the HOLD key to select Hold model. When HOLD mode is selected, the LUX meter stops all further measurements and the test value with hold on the LCD. Press the button “HOLD” to the “ON”, the hold value will be cancelled.

When the measurement is completed, replace the photo detector cap and turn the power selector OFF

 

BATTERY CHECK-UP & REPLACEMENT:

It is necessary to replace another one 9V battery, when left corner of LCD display show“ ”.

After turning off the meter, press the battery cover and push in the direction of the arrow to open.

Disconnect the batter from the instrument and replace it with a standard 9-volt transistor battery and go for the cover.

MAINTENANCE:

 

The white plastic disc on the top of the detector should be cleaned with a damp cloth when necessary.

 

Do not store the instrument where temperature or humidity is excessively high.

 

The reference level, as marker on the face plate, is the tiof thep photo detector globe.

 

The calibration interval for the photo detector will vary according to operational conditions, but generally the sensitivity decreases in direct proportion to the product of luminous intensity by the operational time. In order to maintain the basic accuracy of the instrument, periodic calibration is recommended.

Customer assurance, replacements and returns policy

All items are quality checked prior to posting for any physical signs of damage and receive a final quality and content check before we despatch them to you.

Should an item arrive in a faulty condition, or be missing any accessories, please do let us know and we will arrange for you to return the faulty item, or for a replacement or refund. Simply contact us and complete our returns form (if requested) and we will be able to process your return as efficiently as possible.

Faulty items

If the product is tested and confirmed faulty, we will then return your postage amount to you (a maximum of Royal Mail recorded rates only) and issue you with a replacement or refund.

We will need a detailed description of the problem before authorising a replacement, We will not refund or replace items that appear to have been damaged through installation or misuse.

Unwanted items

If the product is not faulty but does not meet your requirements, providing it is returned to us in an un-used, undamaged state (including packaging), we will offer you a goodwill refund however our postage costs will be deducted from any amount refunded. The listing may show the postage as free, however we still have to pay the Royal Mail to deliver the item and that delivery cost will be deducted from your refund.

All items have to be returned within 14 days of the delivery date. Please note if you do not use the returns form there may be a delay in processing your replacement or refund.

Delivery AND Payment options

All items are posted from the United Kingdom using Royal Mail. Postal charges also include the cost of packaging and materials. If the item is listed with free postage, we still send it recorded delivery in bubble wrap etc, it doesn't mean we scrimp on packaging because of this offer. Our delivery times are based on Royal Mail delivery times.

All items are usually posted the same day if payment is received before 1 pm (weekend purchases will be dispatched on Monday am or Tuesday if its a UK Bank Holiday) Please contact us before placing an order if you have any special delivery requirements, such as urgent Special Delivery or courier services. Make sure we confirm it, as we will not guarantee it without.
