The SOFA law has been passed meaning that the American troops can stay in Iraq untill the end of 2011, giveing the whole country a more safe and stable envirament, as the Iraqi's take over the securiety for more and more of Iraq our troops will back out of the towns and citys but be on call if they are needed

 And there will be thousands of US troops in Iraq for years to come but they will be called Advisers, plus the American Embassy in Baghdad is HUGE with a lot of US troops and there are a few other very large US troop bases that will be there for years to come, and the UK troops the Iraq Government want to stay on will be training the Iraqi's on the securiety of the oil loading platform's in the Gulf

  In the North of Iraq in Kurdistan these Iraqi's really like the US Troops, so Im thinking that come time for all of the troops to leave Iraq, they will be made very wellcome in the North of the country, thats not to say there will be no troops in the rest of Iraq, there will be thousands, but they will not be called troops they will be known as Advisers, same as years ago in any conflict in that part of the world there was allways Russian Advisers helping one of the two counties, so no one can complain about the US and UK Advisers

 The European Union is very interested in Iraqi Gas Reserves  believed to be the worlds tenth largest, the EU is very keen to construct a gas pipeline network through Syria Jordan and  Egypt to the terminals on the Mediterranean, so most of Europe could use Iraqi gas which would be nice as the Russians have a habit of turning it off every time they have a moody on, and it's always in the winter

 I see Russia is talking to Iraq to try to get them to join a Gas cartel the same sort of thing as with the oil we have OPEC, as it seems the Russian's are getting a bit worried that Iraq will be able soon, to supply most of Europe with gas and that would ruin Russians game of controlling Europe's gas, and Russia duz like playing these games, so as soon as Iraq can get its  gas in to Europe the better

Prospective is a key issue and concern for Iraq to be accepted as an equal to the world and particulary its neighboring countries, and to resume trade as an equal partner as factually stated they have a plan proposed by the MOF, that Iraq wants their currency on The par value of the U.S. dollar And this plan has gained acceptance by the World Bank the IMF and the UN Iraq is poised to end drought for thirsting oil giants

After 35 years, the third-largest reserves in the world are to be opened to American and British companies for more than three decades, foreign oil companies wanting into Iraq have been like children pressed against the sweet shop window- desperately seeking to feast on the goodies but haveing no way of getting through the door

THAT  COULD  SOON  CHANGE

The Iraqi Council of Ministers are expected to push through the new hydrocarbon law, that would radically redraw the Iraqi oil industry and throw open the doors to the second largest oil & gas reserves in the world  It would allow the first large-scale operation of foreign oil companies in the country It would also be a shot in the arm for the gobal petroleum industry. The biggest oil companies are finding it ever harder to uncover new reserves to replace those that are going dry. Iraq sits on a sea of easily tapped High-quality crude

By conservative estimates, Iraq represents about one-tenth of the worlds reserves at 115 BILLION Barrels although it could be as high as 300 Billion Barrels  most of this is untapped or under-exploited. Former oil minister Issam Al-Chalbi was quoted as saying that a fully functioning Iraqi oil industry could generate

 $100 Billion In annual revenue

The most coveted sites in Iraq are the Majnoon and Qurna fields, both close to Basra in the South of the country. Together, they represent nearly a quarter of Iraq's proven reserves.  Exxon is now seen by insiders as the front runner to nab the rights to the Majnoon field.

Shell ready to return to Iraqafter 35 years, and they are back in there in a deal to stop the wasted gas that is at the moment flared off at the well heads and at the refineries for it to be used by Iraqi's

 We are talking about $10,000,000  (Ten Million) worth a day being flared off, every day going up in smoke that is a total of $3,650,000,000  (Three Billion six Hundred and Fifty Million Dollars) each year

The Anglo-Dutch group is close to announcing a partnership with the Turkish state oil business TPAO to build a gas export pipeline and reopen gas extraction in the Nortern republic of Kurdistan the pipeline is believed to run alongside an existing one that connects the Mediterranean port of Ceyhan with the Giant Iraqi oilfield in Kurkuk

 Shell's Matthias Bichsel, a senior exploration executive, confirmed that the company had met Iraqi officials in Oman, where Shell has a large gas project, to discuss plans for rebuilding Iraq's gas industry. The company has also held talks over carrying out oilfield development in Kurkuk in the north and in the Maysan oilfield in the south

Kurdistan oil minister Ashti Harwani has said he hopes to grant up to ten exploration and production licences in the region Iraq is up for joining the WTO (world trade organisation) as they applied in 2004

The Minister of oil has had a load of , seismic surveys that were done in the 80s, looked over by the top guys in that field, and there is more oil  and gas than thought

A  LOT  MORE You can drill a hole anywhere and oil ROARS out of the ground

A company with a contract to drill for water in the mid south of Iraq out of the ten (10) wells, they hit oil in seven (7) of them, they said there was no oil here, but it seems oil is everywhere in Iraq, so much of the country has not been checked yet, Im surprised the Iraqi's are not drilling in their back yards

 Do you want the opportunity to get rid of that millstone around your neck called the MORTGAGE or do you realy want to spend the next twenty year,s paying for it, I don't, and I'm sure you don't
