We've listed our traditional version of this popular design finished in our Kennelworth Oak wax finish and featuring  panelled doors and a contemporary straight cut top finished off with a pair of quality stainless steel bar handles.

Please note there is no assembly involved here. This is not a flatpack - its been designed and built by us here in Yorkshire using only first grade Swedish pine with bases and cabinet backs finished in solid tongue & groove timber.

Waiting or ‘Lead’ Times

 

Nobody likes to wait, and because all our standard pieces are in continuous production we know that over the course of a listing we can manufacture all the items shown as available. What we don’t know until you order is how many other people have bought at the same time. We also sell into the trade, and via local media so please order now to be allocated the next available stock and allow us a few working days from time of order to get everything ready for dispatch or collection. We always acknowledge orders promptly and will give an honest estimate of lead times then. We aim to turn all standard orders round 28 days, often faster, but bespoke pieces may understandably take a little longer. More information about lead times is on our shop pages.

Delivery 

 

 

Working out what to do about delivery with this range has been a real problem for us, and we reckon this is probably why most of our colleagues in the trade who build their own furniture either stay local or have much higher ticket prices than we do. On one hand we want to be able to offer the lowest possible selling prices, but on the other all our desks and many of our bookcases are too large or heavy to be sent safely if at all by parcel couriers so we’re left with specialist companies often charging £80 or more per item.

 

We’ve come up with three possible answers and our customers are welcome to choose whichever suits them best. Firstly, local pick up is of course free so just call and collect when the items are ready – this is the default option on most of our listings. Secondly, we’re happy to use our own van at as close to cost as we can manage on a round trip basis so if you live within a 100 miles or so of YO25 ask us within eBay for a quote to your postcode – if you decide to go ahead we can even create a tailor made listing so you can order with complete confidence using Pay Pal. Thirdly, we’ve teamed up with Lee Costello, a specialist furniture carrier, to offer a nationwide service at a discounted cost of only £55 per single item – we’ve put a link to Lee’s service on our shop page, and here too we can create a tailor made listing for you.

 

Whichever option you choose, please keep in mind that we don’t profit in any way from our delivery service so in order to keep charges as low as possible we rely on someone being able to help unload at your end.

Guarantee and Returns

 

We stand by the quality and value of everything we make, are proud of it, and for domestic use offer a full 12 month structural guarantee on all our pieces. In the unlikely event of anything arriving in a damaged condition please tell us within seven days and we’ll arrange for an urgent replacement. We also comply fully with all distance selling regulations and respect both your statutory rights and EBay best practice so that, as long as we work together within the seven day notice period after delivery, returns are accepted on all delivered standard sized pieces - provided they are received back by us in the same condition we sent them out we’ll be happy to issue a prompt and full no questions refund. We may be able to arrange collection of such 'cooling off' returns and will always try to absorb the cost as a gesture of goodwill, but reserve the right to charge at standard rate in some circumstances. Please remember that pine furniture has specific features, including grain, knots, shakes and blemishes that reflect its past life as a tree!
