this is a motorola surfboard jtag it can flash the firmware on the motorola 5101E the motorola 5100I and 5100E and the motorola 4200E & 4200i and the 4100 models aswell.This comes with 5 free 10 pin headers that have to be soldered on to the modems you might be able to just hold them in place but i have never tried this myself once you flash your're modem with this it will make you're modem alot faster and you will be in control of you're modem instead of you're I.S.P if you use these the wrong way they can get you the intenet for free but these are sold as educational purposes only and to fix a bricked modem with for repair's ect.These also come with a cd with the software on it for to flash you're modem with it also contains all the new kind's of firmwars and software for the motorola modems and come with a manual showing you exactly how to do it all  and how to do the webstar and ambit modems aswell but if you want to do the webstars an ambits you will need to buy one of those jtags which i will be selling soon as this jtag does the motorola modems only.If you are looking for a modem that has already been flashed i sell these aswell so check out the other items i have fo sale

also if you want one of you're modems flashed and cannot be bothered doing it you're self i do a modem flashing service but this service is for motorola 5100i or 5101E and for the webstars epc2100R2 only as these are the only modems i have never ever came across any fualts on as these flash realy easy so if you want you're modem flashed please send me a email and i will put a listing up for you for the flashing service the cost will be 12 pound total 10 to do modem and 2 to send it back to you recorded delivery here is my email  jh-pc@hotmail.co.uk
