RETURN POLICY We take customer satisfaction very seriously and are happy to communicate sensibly in case of problems, hence we have put together our policy below - please read this carefully We undertake to offer a full refund in cases of substantial misrepresentation or damage in transit. Claims of damage must be supported by photographic evidence for non couriered items. For couriered items, please see below. All claims should be registered within 48 hour of receipt of goods. Misrepresentation would qualify as a bed size being signficantly different or an item described as working which isn't, or a significant difference of a claimed period. Measurements are close but approximate, usually allowing for the need to fit an item in an alcove etc. DISTANCE SELLING REGULATIONS In order to comply with distance selling regulations, buyers may return ‘Buy It Now’ items in their original packaging (or suitably re-packed for transit) within 14 days provided the intention to do so is notified to us within 48 hours of receipt. In such cases the buyer will be liable for both outgoing and incoming postal charges. If the item collection is not arranged by us, buyers should ensure returns are adequately insured. This does not apply to ‘Auction’ or ‘Best Offer’ items. GUIDANCE ON ANTIQUE \\ VINTAGE ITEMS We do not sell new or reproduction items. All the items we sell are either antiques or vintage i.e. of some age. As a consequence, they will have flaws, surface marks, cracks to the wood or surface, opened joints and other faults. All our listings mention major issues that affect the structural stability of an item or anything that would seriously impair the cosmetic value of the piece. Minor flaws are often mentioned but omitting to do so will not be considered as reasonable grounds for return. Full refunds will not be given under any circumstances that contravene the above statement other than mentioned in 'Distance Selling Regulations' above. If in doubt, please ask before bidding. GUIDANCE FOR ACCEPTING COURIER PARCELS The courier will ask you to sign stating the goods have been received in good order. You should only do this if you check the external packaging for damage then open the package and inspect the goods. The courier is obliged to allow you approximately 10 minutes to do this. If at that stage you are happy with the condition of the item you may sign. PLEASE NOTE: No refunds will be given under any circumstances if the goods have been accepted in good order. If you are not happy with the condition of the item, place it back in the packaging, do not sign and ask for it to be returned. The reason for return must be notified to the courier and e-mailed to us within 48 hours. Should you be unable to inspect the goods adequately or not be permitted to do so by the courier you may sign PROVIDED you mark the courier form as “UNCHECKED AND UNOPENED”. Failure to follow these instructions will negate insurance and no refund will be given under any circumstances. Should you feel the item differs significantly from the auction listing you may refuse delivery. Please ask the courier to return the item. Items returned for reasons deemed inappropriate will be subject to the full outbound and return postage. Please read our listing carefully for what is an appropriate return.
