RARE CHILDS PLATE

ROSE AND HONEYSUCKLE BORDER

GLAMORGAN POTTEY 1814

A rare childs plate, manufactured by the Glamorgan Pottery, Swansea Circa. 1814.

The border is of alternating Roses and Honeysuckle with leafy sprays connected by swags and garlands. The edge of the plate is painted with a rust red border. Central chinoiserie scene, figures with musical instruments.

Measures 6.75" (17cm) diameter

A rare and desireable plate offered in good undamaged condition with no chips, cracks or restoration, the colors are bright and vibrant, a nice addition to a Welsh Ceramic collection.
