This kit includes everything you need to make beautiful 3d casts of your baby's hands and feet, paint them and display them in a this gorgeous gold effect frame (please note that this frame is much larger than most others on eBay).  Our frames have been specially hand-made for displaying your casts, and the back-box (where your casts will be placed) has a good 2” depth .  The frame is not a cheap import, it is made fully in the U.K . and is great quality.

This kit contains loads of casting materials, there is enough dental grade, chromatic alginate to make up to 12 casts of a baby under 1 year old (approx) or up to 6 casts of a toddler/4 of older child and there is 1600g high quality casting powder, this is also dental quality and is chosen because it can capture all the fine detail but it is really strong and will last and not crumble. The paint is also a high quality and will not flake on your casts and the kit contains all the materials, bags, cups and stirrers that you need to create your casts, a great activity for your older child to be involved with, creating their cast for you and helping with a younger sibling by showing them how to do it, a real family bonding experience and older children will be amazed when the cast is revealed!

Our easy to follow instructions take you through how to make the casts, step by step so you will be able to create them well and we also include extra hints and tips to ensure that you can overcome the usual pitfalls that can happen when life-casting. We are members of ALI (association of Life-casters) and we use the same materials in our kits as we use in our studio to create people’s casts so you can be assured that our products are of the highest standard. Basically, you need to make the sloppy mixture, push your child’s hand or foot into it, it then sets to a rubbery consistency and you can wriggle your baby out. Make up the plaster and pour into the mould, leave to set, then peel off the outer pink mould material and you are left with a solid, plaster cast which you need to leave to dry out. Once dry, you can paint them and glue them into the display box and display.
