Author of The Pirate's Sister, storyteller Sophie Snell presents her latest collection of stories - Dragon Tales.

All about dragons, Dragon Tales is read with vivacity and relish by the author herself.  It is aimed at primary school age children, but as with her other CD's we hope it will be equally enjoyed by older children and adults!  Combining magical sound effects and beautiful music, this is perfect bedtime listening or for travelling in the car.

There are 7 tracks - 2 poems and 5 stories, including the 3 part adventure "Dragon Mountain".  From the beautiful and decidely mischievous "Sky Dragons", the riddles and magic of "Dragon Mountain", the cheeky "My Pet Dragon" and the deliciously spooky "Tall Tree Forest and the Ghost Dragons".  This is a collection of fantasy dragon tales to tease and delight any child who is fascinated by dragons.

Track 3   Dragon Mountain Part 1    Running time 10 mins.

Dragon Mountain is a 3 part adventure featuring David and his mission to complete a desperate task to save a loved one.  Filled with riddles, mystery and magic - you will be drawn in to the sparkling underground world of the Black Dragon, deep in the bowels of Dragon Mountain.

The hauntingly atmospheric legend of TallTree Forest.  Deliciously spooky, this is the tale of a lively Chinese girl, Lihua - bossy and vain - her latest boast gets her into truly hot water, when she takes up the challenge to hunt Ghost Dragons in TallTree Forest.

Music featured is by kind permission of Loon (aka Horsewife) - a highly original and theatrical music group who regularly tour the National Rural Touring Scheme, club and theatre venues, working with mime artists, storytellers and puppetry artists.
