Ashford Felt Needle Handle for 5 Needles

Needle felting or needle punching is the process of creating felt by pushing wool fibres through a piece of felt or felting the fibres onto themselves. Traditionally an industrial technique this process has now become very popular with hand crafters.

These needle handles are probably the best handles you can invest in, their are large enough to get a good hand grip on and sturdy enough to last you as long as you will be crafting. This set comes with 5 needles that are approximately a 36 Gauge (standard for medium to fine fibres such as Merino), but just in case you need any more gauges please note that the holes should be big enough to hold most of my range of needles in store.

Quite a lot of felter will use this handle just with 4 needles on the outer holes, so do feel free to do the same if you don't want to use all 5.

To use all you need to do is unscrew the end, pop in your needles and place back into the handle, making sure the end is screwed back in tightly.

The handle is hollow too, so when you have finished needle felting your needles can be safely stored in the handle for next time.
