woodburning stove swedish antique

Antique Swedish Woodburning Stove...'trolla 104'....25"high..13" wide..22" long including tray...with 20" flue.

good points      ..........very similar to 'jotul' stoves but not as expensive.

                      ..........new internal steel baffles [freestanding to the left of stove in pic 2 ].

                      .........decorative cast on both sides of stove of couple dancing.

                      ..........1 1/2 new firebricks with a small lengh of spare fire rope & 22" flue.

not so good points.....the top has been welded in the past,these splits are common with a stove of this age & do not effect the stove in any way.

                          ......needs a small handle on door & a good seal with fire putty.

i have had this stove in my workshop for over two years & it throws out a massive amount of heat for its size.i have re-roped the door, had new baffles made of thick steel & have re-blacked the outside.

the door is not a tight fit when shut [hinge slightly worn]  so i re-roped the door seal, still not spot on but there is no spill of ash/fire onto tray when door is shut.

i never replaced the handle but this is a simple job to do [ i liked the door open to watch the fire ]..this stove is not perfect..needs some TLC but has loads of caracter & would look fantastic in a your home/workshop now the bad weather is on its way.

you will have a hard time finding this type of scandinavian antique stove for sale anywhere at this price & condition.[ as i found out when i was looking for this one]..
