vw 69 beetle with a twist hotrod drag racer project

Hi welcome to my very reluctant auction for my life long dream car, could never afford the real thing (41 willy’s coupe ) . So thought I would go for the next best thing and cheaper option and build my own based on a 69 vw beetle. Using the 69 chassis cutting the heater channel out and used 3x2 box steel to make the same shape done by a friend of mine that is a coded welder so its not going no where and new floors front to back (see pics ). Still having the front beam which is standard height . Comes with two pedal cages steering column and wheel and new black door cards  . At the rear there is a 1600gt gear box which has been striped and checked with new gaskets and gaiters and bearings , new 3 piece clutch unit with a 1600 twin port engine brought 2 years ago that sounded sweet when brought and no end float . All there baring the dizzy my son stole for his 68 bay all tin ware there and painted bright orange the same as the car was going to be with pin striping with wolf-race wheels (well it looked lovely in my head ) The wheels on the car at the moment are Weller 8 spoke that need tidying the rears are 10x15 wrapped in 295/50/15 fill the arches nicely and fronts are 7x14 wrapped in 235/60/14 all 4 tyres have never been on the road still with the bobbly bits still on . Right the shell The body is a 1969 beetle with 2inch roof chop and wizard rear end the roof moved forward to make a hard top looking wizard with split rear window , the arches are 4inch wider on the rear and 2 inches wider on the front all are fibre glass and not the cheap crap . Solid running boards you can stand on and they don’t flex ( see pics to see what im talking about ) .door tops have been shaped but need fitting on the door . The front has been fitted with an opening steel bonnet with an internal fuel tank . The inside has no seats or interior the dash has been smoothed over with steel . With the time and money it would make a wicked hot rod drag racer or something very special indeed . The car comes with blue spot sloppy lights and 4 new tear drop tail lights scat gear shifter 2 new front grill for front, wizard windscreen that fits with cal look rubber . One piece glass for doors to be cut to size when door top have been put on . Chrome and wood m series steering wheel new set of ht leads in red .
