vintage 50s 60s carved wood/raffia/leather heels/shoes

WOW!This is a striking pair of original vintage 50s 60s era Italian carved and handpainted wood/raffia /leather/stud mules/sandal heels.They are in FAB condition,with lovely flower details to the heels and black leather trim with studs to the edges,the raffia uppers have 3 little pink flowers and leaves,and are even lined in kid suede leather to stop from rubbing the feet.They are stamped to the base made in Italy,these would have been selling like hotcakes in the 50s Hawaiian/kon-tiki era when the Flint stones were all the rage!The men stationed during the war in the phillipines/hawaii would bring back this style of shoe to there sweethearts a little later they were being manufactured in the same style in other countries like america and Italy,they are An american size 6 is aprox a u.k size 3 and a half,they may fit a small size 4 so please check my measurements ,the length from toe to heel of the inside of the shoe is aprox:23.4cm.The width of them at the widest point measured on the sole is aprox:7.5cm.The heels are aprox:8.5cm high and have little leather bases.They are in very good gently used condition,there is some very light wear to the raffia,some barely visible tiny scuffs to the back of the heels,infact they look as though they may have only been worn once maybe twice.Fabulous collectors item.P&P £5.00 special delivery ,NEXT DAY.
