i bought this rascal van in august july 2006 from a friend and it has served me remarkably well in the running of my general gardening maintenance business carrying a mower and general gardening tools mainly locally around wolverhampton. the mileage when i bought it was 98,000. i have had no accidents or damages since that time. i had not intended to change the van but an opportunity arose to have a slightly larger van a couple of weeks ago.
when i bought the van the timing belt was changed at 100,000 miles and the exhaust was replaced in 2007. other replacements have been water pump in 2007, alternator, fuel pump and battery in 2008 and in june 2009 a pair of good used rear leaf springs were fitted to pass the mot (due to the previous owner carrying fruit and veg in it) along with some small welding of the nearside inner wheel arch. i have added new wheel trims for the sale. all glass is etched with the registration from new.
the van has been regularly serviced by a mechanic friend of mine the last major service was in march 2008, with an oil change in march 2009.
both rear wheel arches had to be 'squared off' a couple of years ago by a bodywork friend as rust had affected them. you will see from the pictures that the o/s sliding door has rust at the base and also in the lower panel to the lower sill to the rear of the n/s wheel both these were not mentioned at mot. paintwork generally good small areas of surface rust which i have not had time yet to tidy up and for some reason the previous owner used slightly darker touch up paint on a couple of panels some of which i have t-cutted and found original colour paint underneath
