sunbeam talbot 90 Mk2a for restoration

A Talbot 90 Mk2a to restore. I have described each major component below:

CHASSIS: main chassis is good, only the outriggers forward of the rear spring hangers need repair/replacement as far as i can see.

BODY: looks better in pics than it is in reality. you can see that bottom of osf "A" post needs work, spare wheel well is cut away (presumably because it was rotten), bottoms of all doors have gone, front wings need work etc etc

INTERIOR: mostly good. seats are good for age, even door cards would go again. all carpets and rubbers are rough, but are still present. headlining is ok.

MECHANICS: engine ran sweetly when i got car 18 months ago. gearbox/axle are unknown. brakes i presume need full rebuild.

CHROME: all there - some is good, some needs rechrome, but useable as is.

TYRES: there is a set of 4 new taxi tyres, but probaly only a couple are useable because coupe that they came off had stood so long.

I bought this car to supplement a Mk2 coupe i bought in pieces. knowing that some bits would be missing, i bought this saloon as a donor. Although bits have been removed, the only items i ended up using are the speedo, fuel guage  and indicator arms - everything else is present.

Car needs a full body restoration, and all the other associated jobs. The V5c is present in my name, though incorrect, having the car registered in 1964 (should be 1953 i think). this is simple to sort out with DVLA, but can only be done when car is MOT'd and ready for taxing.

Obviously car will need trailering away. Advertised elsewhere, so may be withdrawn. Viewing anytime by appointment. Deposit of £50 by paypal at end of auction, balance in cash/cheque (cleared before delivery). Reserve is set at much lower than car is worth in pieces.
