hi my mother has had a clear out ,she bought this teapot 60 years ago, i am not sure if it is solid silver or silver plate, i have been on the internet and what i can find out about it is that it is made by joseph ridge & co  1881-1886 sheffield england , my mother paid quite a large price 60 years ago, it is in good condition considering its age, and it weighs 790 grammes, it will be up to the buyer to find out if silver or silver plate as i have stated i dont know any questions please ask, thanks
