The classic Gazelle made new in with smooth leather. Finished off with logo detailing, coordinating laces and multicolored soles.
There is much speculation about the Gazelle's original purpose. Its silhouette suggests that it could be an indoor soccer shoe, and over the years it has gained immense popularity with soccer fans, alongside the trimm-Trab, Munchen and Forrest Hills. It has also been suggested that the shoe was designed for running. However, the general consensus seems to be that this model was originally intended as an atlhletic training shoe.
Whatever its initial funcion, the Gazelle is certainly a beautiful shoe. It made a real impact on the early 80s UK hip-hop scene. It was good for dancing, as it was really light and came in a variety of bright colors.
The model was worn by Ken Swift, Flowmaster, Oasis.
