my pro board is a grate example of an expensive set up.
rodney mullen almost boards are not common and they arnt bad.
wheels are made by elemnt and cost £30.00
trucks are grind kings one is the standard and the other skull version cost £ 40.00 each
bearings are made by birdhouse and monkey and cost total of £30.00
and deck alone cost £80.00
normal grip tape cost £5.00
light wieght screws and bolts cost £10.00
total = £235.00 (crazy)
i chose the elemnt wheels because they are better for the vert stuff because they give alot better impact resistance than things like ricta.
i put the original grinde king truck on the front because its high density and will tack a good smack when needed and the skull on the back because its lighter and you can get alot better tac tern and slide from it because it dossent swing as much as the front.
i have put birdhouse bearings on the outer of the wheels and monkeys on the inside because the monkeys are abec 7 and the birdhouse are abec 5 so theres alot grater turn motion and it becomes alot smoother when you do this i find.
the deck was a nice investment because of design there using resins not your normal glue witch makes it lighter and theres an 8 layer fix up to make it stronger than your avrage 6 or 7 but still has all the abilities of them.
rodney recomends this board for high impact street tricks and switch moves but i find it can work very well under the presures of vert ramps.
haoppy bidding.
