Lovely tea caddy.This very unusual tea caddy is pretty old but I am unable to date it accurately.Measuring 4.1/4" high x 3.3/4" top diameter x 4.1/2" lid diameter it has been turned from a pale,possibly yew wood and the exterior decorated with a mixture of carving and colouring.The lid has a geometric border coloured red and green,a sunken centre with round knop that has a square in the centre and lightly carved detailing.The main body has a curved organic design coloured green and red above carved oval spotting.The top of the body has a sloped detail that has a milled design.Time has made the wood shrink slightly so that the lid is now too big,this has resulted in a crack appearing in the body to accomadate it,this could be sorted by reducing the lid and mending the crack or filling the crack to make it slightly wider,there is also some fading to the colours in areas.This is a lovely old caddy that would look great in any kitchen or collection.Please check out my other items! and be sure to add me to your favourites list!    PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU KEEP YOUR FEEDBACK HIDDEN.
