Longbridge Wharf is a superb, luxurious, two-bedroomed apartment in the historic port town of Bideford, North Devon. It is uniquely positioned on the bank of the River Torridge and is ideally placed for access to North Devon’s stunning coastline, long-distance walks, excellent fishing facilities and family entertainment.

Waterside views from the balcony

An outstanding feature of the apartment is the spacious balcony, making possible al fresco dining at dusk, early morning bird watching, or a leisurely pot of tea admiring the views downriver to Bideford’s historic Long Bridge or upriver to the hanging woodlands and riverside reed beds.

Clean, bright accommodation

The ground-floor apartment is light and airy, with patio doors opening on to the terrace from the lounge and master bedroom, and there are river views from the kitchen. The apartment is brand new and has recently been decorated and furnished to the highest standards. Longbridge Wharf sleeps up to 4 people with one double ensuite master bedroom, one twin room, and a separate bathroom and toilet. Duvets pillows and linen are provided.Please bring own towels. There is a cot and high chair at the apartment, but please bring own bedding for the cot.

Modern comfort

Furnished for comfort and ease, and with full underfloor central heating, the Longbridge Wharf apartment is suitable for year-round occupancy. The kitchen is equipped with essential modern appliances.The living room has a flat screen TV, DVD and CD player.

Fishing

The River Torridge is renowned for its flounders throughout the year, with larger ones turning up in the winter when 2lb 8oz to over 3lb fish can be taken. There is also excellent bass fishing most of the year including the 6lb specimen taken the first day the builders gave us access to fish from the balcony.  Other species that might be caught are eels, whiting and mullet. 

Please note

Guests have access to the apartment from 4pm on the day of arrival and are required to vacate the premises by 10am on the day of departure. Please leave the apartment tidy on day of your departure.
