I know what you're thinking, and these are your questions....
 
 
Why do I need someone to help me set up my eBay shop?
 
 

The short answer is - you don't, you can get the shop open in minutes and ready to trade shortly after but I know that a few days, weeks or months down the line you'll be wondering why you aren't trading as well as you hoped. If you then asked me what was wrong I'd probably suggest that your

  • selling strategy was wrong for your product 
  • your listings didn't look professional enough to give your buyers confidence to buy from an eBay newcomer
  • your keywords or titles aren't being found in searches so your listings aren't being seen
  • perhaps the shop name wasn't memorable so a browser can't find you again 
  • your templates are too fussy
  • maybe your shop design theme is the same as hundreds of others 
  • the shop design doesn't compare well with established sellers shops 

By now you may have committed yourself to some expensive printed promotion items or racked up £100's of excessive eBay fees on listings that failed to sell because you didn't have a good advice from the start.

If you start by yourself you'll learn by trial and error what will work and what won't, it will be plain sailing from then on but I'd be surprised if, over course of the first few weeks or months you don't make errors and misjudgements resulting in frustration and high fees - if you get me on board from the start we'll miss all of that part out and get on to the plain sailing bit in one go

If you are totally new to eBay you'll come across lots of little snags that will hold you back like, How much feedback do you need to get started with a shop? it's a simple question with more than one answer, it depends on a few factors. How do you set up a sellers account? How do I make sure that my listings will be show to the buyers? Where do I find the cheapest courier, boxes, tape? What is permissable to write in the description and what isn't etc...
 
How will you set up my eBay shop?
 
You'll tell me what your product is, I'll show you the best way to research it's saleability so you pitch in with the right selling price and listing type. I'll put some ideas together for your shop design and show you them in my test shop, we'll kick it around for a while until you're happy and then that's how your shop will look.
I'm not a web designer, I just know my way around the eBay design options and add in a bit of my own flair to make your shop look different to the others. When we've decided on the look I'll either put it into your shop for you or talk you through it on the phone, in either case I'll make sure that you know all the behind the scenes workings of your shop so that you can alter it yourself at a later date, there is no HTML to learn.
 
So the shop looks good, now what?
 
I'll give you a hand with your first few listings, either with Auctiva or Turbo Lister and get you started off on the right track, I'll advise on taking your photos, shipping options, overseas transactions, getting your titles and descriptions to be the best buyer magnet they they can possibly be, don't forget a potential buyer can move off your page with one click of the mouse and buy from someone else so you want to use all of your skills to make that purchase.
I'll set up all your automations so that your mundane routine email and relist tasks are done for you so you can concentrate on selling, not admin and when I've done that I'll make sure that your keywords and all of the other promotional tips and tricks are all set up - when you're happy with all of this you won't need me any more
 
What if I hit a snag?
 
Just the one snag? you'll hit many! - such as buyers that forget that they've bought things, parcels that get lost in the post etc. I've got the experience to help you out and get it turned around. You are welcome to phone or email me as many times as you like.

For an eBay newcomer that will need a lot of hand holding the fee is £100.
Don't forget that this includes one to one phone or email support so you can come back to me for advice or run an idea past me for a considered opinion.
Also I think that it's fair to say that with an experienced eBayer guiding you, you are less likely to make expensive listing mistakes and the money you spend on my fees will be saved in other areas - that's quite a compelling reason to get me on your team for your new shop
