Description

This has got to be one of the nicest as well as oft quoted Jewish Prayer books ever printed. It was printed by none other than Rabbi Yakov Emden of Altona. It has his extensive commentary on the weekday & Holiday prayers. This however is part 2 of his siddur though it is complete in its own right. Also see my scan on the zodiac illustrations which are to be found (all 12 of them) in the Holiday prayers. There are variants to the prayers that are in use today.

In a recent auction at Kastenbaums on June 25 2009, Vols 1 & 2 (of 3 volumes) of  an earlier print went for over $7000! Clearly, you are getting a bargain!

The Siddur is HUGE measuring 8 x 13 inches and was most probably meant to be usd by the chazzan (cantor). It is in exceptionally very good condition!

Siddur (mahzor too)  contains 389 pages.
