I think this stein has a stoneware body, the lid is metal and has a very strong hinge.

There are no signs of crazing on the glaze.

The designs feature two stylised tulips either side of the handle and a leaping pony opposite the handle.

 An M or is it a W is impressed on the base on outline form prhaps within a feint shield.

It is 5 1/2 inches tall and has a base diameter of 3 3/4 inches

What looks like marks on the 3circles and above are reflections on the glaze from the flash light.
