collectable large,old,wooden spoons,made in phillipines

if you collect wooden spoons,these are for you!

they stand 35.5ins tall.the wood of the spoon seems slightly lighter in colour to the fork.

the spoon----is 1.5ins thick, and 6ins at its widest part. on the handle you have 3 carved persons on top of each other, and there is another head on the bottom. all the heads are same, they all have a wide nasty toothy grimace. there is a label on the back which says---MADE IN THE PHILIPPINES.

the fork----is also 1.5ins thick,and 5ins at its widest part.the handle has the same carving as the spoon.  there is a label on the back which reads---AIR INDIA,SYDNEY----7 AUG 1984.---SECURITY CHECKED.

the air india label ages them to about 25yrs old or more. for that age they are in quite reasonable condition. there are a lot of scratches and scrapes on the wood, not deep ones,.more on the back of the fork than anywhere else.,and a few big ones on the fork fingers.  i think you may be able to restore them with a little tlc.they both have a large hole for string so that they can be hung up.

if nothing else they are a good talking point. the postage is quite dear,so if you want to collect in person that would be fine.
