the following mp3 is not actually the pss790's sound.  the random self composition feature is sending data from the midi out of the pss790 being fed into a circuit bent yamaha tg33 midi module that i also make. it is also a bent vector synth featuring the rich sounds of just one patch. it's uncommon to find bent midi synths that generate bent data at it's midi out. 

extremely rare keyboard and extremely difficult to find unmodified. so here's a rare chance to own a extermely unique and one of a kind vector synthesizer. most certainly the most bizarre vector synthesizer.

-19 point main patchbay- provides strange glitches, self compositions, and tonal variations with extreme sample reconfigurations trigged for use with keyboard, vector, internal or external sequencer, or midi controller

-4 point switchbay for controlling bends on main patch bay

-2 heavy duty switches for 4 point switchbay

-1 point glitch and self composition patchbay- one point connects to main patchbay. dedicated jack for just self composition and chance restructuring of vector, preset voices, etc.

-1 potentiometer- controls depth and rate of self composition until the self composition slows down into a held sustain

- one knob for self composition/glitch knob in vintage red bakelite.

-1 switch for on/off for self composition of self compostion point

- overall pitch control via clock high precision circuitry replacement-  knob offers over 2 and half octaves of continous control of pitch

- one switch which selects clock replacement high precision circuitry or original clock signal

1- vintage knob for pitch clock (may substitute for a metal knob with small jewel embedded in knob)

-2 lfo knobs for rate and depth of lfo- works with clock control for modulating pitch and sound of synth

-vintage dialco led with housing for lfo rate and depth indication.

-one on off switch for battery use

-one quick reset button for battery use

-one large led telephone switchbay blue glass lens with black nickel finish

-6 stackable banana cables - actual color of cables provided will depend on stock

-vector control- 4 tones can be assigned to vector. since every sound preset is independanty circuit bendable you can assign them and pan through the vector for extremely deep and bizarre sounds

-midi output sends out self compostion information

-power supply provided for north america only (rated for 9-12 volts dc with a positive tip)

-all bends and modifications are very stable. there's alot going on with the synth and bends and will rarely crash. all bends well researched and any questionable points or bends were ommited for stability. all added circuitry has been fine tuned for extra stability.

circuit bent yamaha pss790 vector synth. drum kit, basic 8 track sequencer, auto accompainments,preset rhythms.the onboard joystick can vector through 4 assignable voices. also multi-timbral over midi. preset tone module although if you want to synthesize the tone that is what the modifcations are for. 24 point patch bay. 1 point dedicated to self composition and can be connected through potentiometer before patch bay. it controls the rate and depth of glitches continously until it sustains the current sound. glitches will often reconfigure the vector with new voices, create new sounds and textures, and give alot of random results which can be self composed or resynthesized to be controlled by the keyboard, onboard or outboard sequences, or external midi control.4 points are switchable before main patch bay. lfo and overall continous pitch control via clock substituion.

vector synths are primarily known for their evolving textures and deep sounds and this is pretty much the most unusual one of them all

this video below is only a small sample of what this synth is about. this was filmed immediately after bending the unit and there's certainly alot more controller combinations, patch bay configurations, onboard sequencer which gives amazing results with it's 8 tracks including the vector. 16 part multi timbral use is also pretty amazing. vectors can control 4 independant tones per note of polyphony. which all bend in their own unique ways. deep, extremely bizarre, weirdest pads, glitch streams,with constantly evolving sounds and leads. much more than what's demoed below. 3 part demo. one is controlling a patch onboard and shifting through vectors while triggering sounds with keys. second demo is self composition along with wind controller sending it external midi control info. and 3rd is just self composition control.
