This celluloid over metal bank / financial institution advertising sign is probably from the 1940s - measures appx. 4 7/8" across by 7 inches; LOCKPORT EXCHANGE TRUST COMPANY in blue lettering across the top of the picture on a cream colored background; the colorful picture is entitled OPENING OF THE ERIE CANAL - OCTOBER 26, 1825 / BY RAPHAEL BECK; a nice looking advertising sign with a gold and blue border around the edge of the picture; on the reverse side, there is a paper tag that reads: MANUFACTURED BY / PERMANENT / SIGN & DISPLAY CO. / READING, PENNA; excellent condition.
