Transport service for Bikes, Trikes, Quads, Cars and bulky items.
This listing is to advertise my £5.00 vouchers sold in my e-bay shop which when purchased can give valuable discounts
I am a reputable freelance courier, I am a one man business and if you decide to use my services you get me, I am responsible for your vehicle and not some employee that isn't too bothered as long as he gets paid. I use a motorcycle trailer to transport bikes as towing with my LPG powered car is a lot cheaper than using a diesel van and you get the savings with me. I'd rather be cheap and busy than charge over inflated prices and hope to still get the business. A bike is made for outdoor use and you must expect them to sometimes get wet when riding them so a trip on a trailer built specifically for bikes is unlikely to harm it. Stropping a bike down does not harm your bike when done correctly, don't believe any guff said about using trailers in an attempt to make you pay more. My bike trailer takes bikes up to the biggest Harley which just fits, however if you've bought a chopped bike with extended forks I wont be able to help anymore as I've sold my van. I must have shifted over a thousand bikes over the years and never had a problem, if I have a lot of long distance work I have a part time driver who comes with me to spell me so that I can keep going longer, mostly you'll just get me. I own a range of trailers so that I can cover most services needed. I am based in Stafford in the Midlands and charge from 35 pence per mile for the round trip for up to 2 motorcycles,Quads or smaller packages, to 45p per mile for the round trip for 3-5 motorcycles, trikes and cars or bigger items when I have to use the car transporter trailer. I have delivered in the past to Poland, Germany, Hungary, Austria, Spain, Italy, France, Switzerland, Holland and Belgium, as well as all over the U.K. and Eire, (even the Orkney Isles) without a single complaint.
A VERY IMPORTANT GUIDE IS FEEDBACK FROM BUYERS FOR THIS SORT OF SERVICE THROUGH EBAY CHECK BEFORE DECIDING WHO TO USE
I have fairly regular trips from Kent to the North and Midlands delivering brand new motorcycles so any trip that I can combine with these will be done at a cut price, that means a delivery from the north to the south. I use microsoft autoroute quickest route to find out what mileage is involved when offering a quote. Although my rates are very competitive, you may be able to get the job done cheaper by another advertiser on e-bay even though their rates may be higher if they have to travel much less miles than me to get the job done. Also you may be lucky enough to find someone travelling with a part load, or able to combine your job with another thus saving on the price.( I can only take one car at a time) Dont just take the first quote, shop around, e-mails are free and there are plenty of reputable people selling on e-bay.
As an additional service I may be persuaded to pay for the item for you when collecting providing the item is roughly worth what I am having to pay for it and you reimburse me in cash upon delivery. I hope this isn't against e-bays policy as it is a free service designed to help sales on e-bay to go through. Not always available, depends on how my bank balance is at the time.
For a quote for any journey e-mail me. Dont forget that I am based in Stafford so if you only have a short trip which is miles away from Stafford my price would not be competitive as I charge from my house back to my house. IMPORTANT- my car trailer is limited to cars with a wheelbase no wider than 6ft.
My goods in transit insurance covers up to a maximum of £10,000. As such I limit my liability to this amount, should you require higher cover then it is up to you to arrange it, if you do not accept these terms, do not buy. I make digital 'photo's of all items carried before loading and upon delivery to show that items arrive in the same condition that they were loaded. As a new pre-requisite of the insurance company I also have to make a written report of any damage found on the vehicle before the journey, signed by the consignee(seller) and agreed on delivery that all damage has been covered by my report. (I dont make the rules, seeems to me a 'photo would be enough) I have never had an item damaged or had to make a claim on insurance and do not intend to in the future. This note has been added to my listing to save the many people asking for a quote asking if I have goods in transit insurance. It shouldn't be needed but covers me for the most unlikely events such as highjacking or being unable to avoid an idiot trying to escape from police at high speed.
I provide a same day delivery service, by same day I mean that once your item is picked up I keep going until your item is delivered. This has meant that I delivered a motorcycle at 11.30pm followed by a shower unit at 1am once. Many times I've had to sleep in my car or van to make a delivery first thing in the morning when due to the long distance involved delivery will be too late for the client. My clients are informed of the progress so they dont have to hang around waiting all day, if they prefer a midnight delivery to waiting till the next day for their new toy, they get a midnight delivery. I know how horrible it is to have to keep on waiting.
Contact can best be made by e-mailing me as most days I am out driving and taking notes or giving quotes is not so easy from behind the wheel. I check my e-mails morning and night and all times in between when not working, Contact is john@phoenix-agency.com for a general chat you can 'phone on 07932 160647, the home no. is 01785 613020 where a voice message can be left. I will also advise if I believe I know a cheaper solution to your transport needs, by giving away a job which if I did it you would be overcharged, gives me a better chance of getting your business in future (possibly many times) than if I rip you off once.
As under the new system no questions and answers are posted I must here point out that I offer a 20% reduction in my fees to clients that purchase a £5 voucher from my ebay shop and leave feedback within 2 weeks of the job having been done, doesn't have to be good feedback, does have to be honest feedback.
I have been forced to put my prices up as at 30p per mile less 20% is 24p per mile. fuel cost works out at 13p per mile when running on LPG, leaving 11p per mile to pay for tax, insurances, repairs/maintenance and my wages. Being limited to 60 mph on the motorway and 50 mph on ordinary roads you are lucky to average more than 40 mph. making £4.40 per hour which is obviously not enough to survive on. The situation is even worse if I run out of gas and have to drive on petrol as that costs about 25p. per mile. I am now charging from 35p. per mile for a single bike which can make me about £9.00 per hour if it's all motorway and I can average 60 mph to pay my wages and expenses. If I have another job which matches up with yours I will reduce the cost. As would some other transporters so it's worth checking with everybody as you may be lucky and get a better price by being a part load. When towing my car trailer my fuel consumption goes up a lot, that's why it costs more to move a car, even so if your trip is long distance passing Stafford, with the discount offered my rates for moving a car come down to less than 85p per mile one way. Compare that with the other advertisers!
The cheapest ferry fare alone for bike deliveries to Eire/N.Ireland is £215.00 This is without adding anything on for the mileage. Due to this I would recommend for Irish customers to meet me at the Port in Wales/Scotland, Bike and driver is about £42, car and driver £52.
