Remarkable large vintage Retro Flower Brooch / Pendant of the highest quality, workmanship and design, dating to the Retro period, circa: 1945.  Is a playful, bold design, of 14K Rose Gold, Enamel and studded with Diamonds and Rubies.  One of the finest Retro pieces we've come across.  The entire piece is Rose Gold and studded with 117 small Diamonds (having a total approximate weight of 3 1/2 carats) that outline each Flower Petal.  And, in the center, a large Diamond (approximately 1 carat), surrounded by smaller Diamonds.   The Diamonds have tremendous sparkle.  The Flower Stem consist of approximately 8 red Rubies, emerald cut and on either side of the Ruby studded Stem are two beautifully Enameled Leaves of multi colored green. Note how one overlaps the front of the stem. Probably a large Rose Flower, though could be another type. The vintage Retro Flower Brooch / Pendant is quite large and of substantial weight. Measures 2 1/2" long and 1 3/4" wide. The piece can be worn as a Brooch and also cleverly designed to be worn as a Pendant. When worn as a Pendant, there is a hidden link that is pulled out in which a link / chain would go through (called an 'invisible return' designed on the reverse side of the Brooch----examine the photos to see this). When worn as a Brooch, the 'invisible return' would be tucked away.
