Undated, But Circa 1890.

The books measure approx, 19.5cm(7.7") by 27cm(10.6") and contains approx 648 pages in total With illustrations throughout.

A large contempary collection of factual heroic Victorian events, compiled from eye witness accounts and personal correspondence.

The books are fully bound with no loss, and generally speaking are in a good condition.
There is light age tanning and light scattered foxing here and there throughout.
The title page and index pages of volume two have repairs to a closed tear at the central gutter.

The half leather binding is lightly edge worn with bumping and chipping at the corner points.
The joints are supple and intact with some trivial cracking to the lower part of the rear joint of volume one.
  
The leather is not flaking and leaves no marks when placed on cloth.
