FYI: Tis’ the season, the yard sale signs go up and the flea/farm markets are open, plus we did a show over the weekend, Rochester. Doing shows to make a living is tough now, especially with gas prices and the weather so goo. People get out in their yards to work and the price of gas keeps people from traveling far. Bought a few interesting things over the weekend, while we combined are travels. From some treasures at the moving sale, flea and farm market along with the show. Even had time to dig through an old barn and found some Great farm country collectibles. We have some Great deal for you, you can save on gas, have it shipped to your door and I won't have to take it to the landfill/transfer station.
This might fit nicely into your collection or Decor. Such a Deal, to good to throw away and I hope this finds a good home. Any information is always helpful and welcomed. Ask questions, Items are sold as stated, as found!!!!

This auction is a WONDERFUL, Old Earthenware, Finger Candle Lamp with in-mold, branch/Stump Match Holder (holds about three wood matches) and matching burl looking, Candle Snuffer. This piece has a Beautiful In-mold Tree Bark Design with Twig finger hole, handle and Gold Hand Painted Knots and Grain lines. Once had Gold trim around the rim of the candle well, but only the slightest remains. Un-glazed foot shows that it is a bright white bisque type earthenware. It is not marked and I had no luck in find the like of this in any of my books. I attribute it to being European made, possibly Germany circa early 1800s. It has been broken and repaired by a previous owner, mostly visible from the bottom side, four break lines, almost clean breaks except for a couple of tiny edge nicks and the old yellowed glue residue around break. I just found that the handle was also broken and glued, very clean break, perfect match, maybe broke at the factory. Also noted on the double ring footed bottom, it has a blue/gray tone with lighter, whiter lines, well all of those lines are crazed and the old breaks were on those lines, really kind-of Strange. Dusty and still needs a bath, but NO nicks, NO chips, NO stains. Measures approx. 2" high, 1 7/8" across flared rim, 7/8" across candle well, 5 ¼" across saucer. Snuffer piece is perfect with only slight wear to gold, looks like never used, no burn marks inside. Measures approx. 1 ¾" high and 1 3/8" across rim. Meant to sit over matches, when not in use.
