This is a superbly made beaded watch chain with a brass hook on one end for a pocket watch. It measures 54" long and is 1/2" wide. The beaded motifs appear to be flags and symbols of regiments of the UK and Canada and the date 1911 is worked into it in gold beads. The colors are much more vibrant than seen in the photos as the flash from the camera washed them out. The only damage is a broken area at the back center where it was joined so that it could be worn around the neck. This was constructed on a bead loom with thin linen threads and glass beads. The linen is still quite stable and the piece has no loose or falling-off beads. I believe the broken area could be repaired.
