Hi i have had this writing bureau for about six years i cant tell you much about it as im not an antique expert. I bought it because i liked the look of it and i intended to have it restored, but i have never got round to doing it. I am now moving house and it unfortunatly needs to go. Please be aware that it does need some work doing to it, i dont want somone to win it and then moan that it needs restoring. There is some beeding that needs replacing and the hinges on the drop down flap are loose and one is a bit bent. There is also a couple of holes in the back of the bureau. Im sorry i dont know what kind of wood it is i just liked the look of it. It will need to be collected from Bourne in lincolnshire. you can pay cash on collection or pay by paypal.
