This shop offers you a range of products, tools and machinery to enable you to perform a full professional facial in the comfort of your own home, with detailed step-by-step instructions and information regarding the best way to treat your skin type.  Sandra will talk to you personally via email; she has spent years putting technical jargon into layman’s terms, to enable everyone to understand how the products actually work.

All products are freshly mixed for direct sale once your order is received, making it unnecessary for added preservatives, larger companies need to add these to give the products a long shelf life, it can sometimes take up to 6 months before their products reach your bathroom shelf.  All ingredients are of the highest quality, and packaged in the most hygienic bottles and jars (direct from our New York suppliers), all with pump action dispensers and spays for the utmost hygiene, needed to keep the skin in tiptop condition.

OPEN PORES/BLOCKED PORES

Look at the diagram at the side of this page; you will see a normal functioning pore and a blocked pore. The pore has become blocked and a blackhead has formed on the opening, the reason that the blocked pore has become a blackhead, is because the blockage is full to the top of the skin and once this happens, oxygen in air hits the oil and it turns black.  However, if you have open pores without blackheads the blockage is deeper inside the pore, the blockage could be filling up the whole inside of the pore, causing the pore to swell open.  The pores could also become open due to humidity, dry heat, the sun and central heating, or generally working in warm steamy environments.

BLACKHEADS

Oil in the pores has become hardened and blocked up and the oxygen in the air hits the blockage and causes it to turn black.

SPOTS/ACNE

These are caused by bacteria in the skin, the bacteria can come from the outside of the skin and enter it via the pores, or it could come via the blood inside the skin. There are 3 basic types of spots

Papules – these are raised areas without an opening the area around the skin will become red and swollen

Pustules – these are widely known as yellow heads where the spot has formed yellow pus at the centre of the spot

Macules- these are deep in the skin and are normally felt but not seen on the top of the skin.

WHITEHEADS/MILLIA

These are tiny white bumps that can be seen at the top of the skin, although they are situated below the skin without an opening

OILY SKIN

Daniel-James 2-Step pore system

This system is for the treatment of open pores and blackheads, whiteheads, spots and yellowish looking skins.

This system will pull out all blockages from the pores, including blackheads, and will close up the pores considerably after one treatment, after using the whole system; your pores will be totally minimised.

How the system works.

Step one

The pores are steamed open using boiled water and a towel or our direct facial steamer.

This will prepare the skin for the following steps.

Step two

The absorbing mask is applied, which is the most oil-absorbing ingredient ever; there is no better product. This will pull out the blockages from the pores.  In a lot of cases this treatment will totally unblock all of the pores in one treatment, although I cannot guarantee this, due to some having the blockages for years and years and they may need a few treatments for all the blockages to clear in all of the pores.  But everyone will definitely see a big difference with the first application. 

Step Three

The pore reduce mask is applied to close the pores and take away any redness caused by the above procedures.  This mask will close the pores immediately and take away any redness caused by the previous mask.
