A charming and tasteful reproduction advertisement. A wood carving depicts a man in period sporting dress with his dog and comrades. He and the dog stand proud of the surface to a depth of about three inches and are hand painted. The whole scene promotes J. Solan who, by Royal Appointment was a purveyor of guns and sporting goods. He is tipping powder from his flask but regrettably, his gun is missing. (Obviously the anti-blood sports movement was powerful even then). Seriously - a nice decoration and talking point for your den. Dimensions are 20 inches wide by 30 inches high by four inches deep. I would prefer buyer to pay cash and collect but it weighs 5 kilos packed so postage is an option to be advised on purchase. (I would imagine £8-10 postage). Thanks for looking.
