alfa romeo spider kam tail s2 1982 x, reg . right hand drive . i bought this car for the engine & gearbox for my 1972 alfa spider , the car had failed its mot on underbody welding. i have included in the sale a full engine & gearbox plus ancilleries & a set of refurbished carbs out of my alfa this is a 1750cc unit which to be honest is worth a lot more than the 2 litre one . the only reason i am swapping engines is that the 2 litre unit has had over £3000 spent on the engine & box . my 1750 engine & box were fine ( 44000 miles ) but has been stood a while and it req`s freeing up , i have put some wd40 in top of plugs to free of , but i can guarantee you there is nothing wrong with engine & box its a good unit .the outer bodywork on tghis s2 alfa is in very good condition , it is ok to use as is .but the underside has failed on the mot on welding ,floors , front valance etc .the seats are worn & req refurb , the hood is ok but has the rear plastic screen removed , this in boot .i have the v5 plus some bills & old mot`s. it would be a good project for some one or good for spares( will only sell complete as a job lot including all spares see pics ) .i have removed engine & box , all under bonnet ancilleries, part of wiring loom , & 4 b/ calipers , but 4 replacements are included in sale . the exsaust ,manifold & radiator etc are all still fitted to car .most spares are included to put car back on road see pics of bits , i would say the car is 85% complete so is well worth doing , all glass & chrome in good nick ( no bumpers ) please see my outher items for sale ( spider repair panels in classic car parts section ) no reserve must go need the room pick up only , any more info call me on 07969 270934 , thanx . cash on collection

On 13-Nov-09 at 19:35:26 GMT, seller added the following information:hi, to answer a few questions . there is welding req to the floors in sevral places , front cross member & valance ,a patch on rear valence & the odd bits on inner arches. also the wiring reqs sorting out but i have supplied most of the loom , seats are u/s and req replacing or recovering , plastic screen in rear of soft top reqs sorting . as i said i have most parts to finish car which are supplied with it ( approx 85% complete ) but is worth restoring as outer bodywork is ok , the drivers door req`s realigning on hinges . its not a weekends work its a light restoration project.if you req any more info just call me on 07969 270934 anytime , regards tim. |
