 a very large antique oil painting on canvas by the famous and internationally known and highly collectable victorian artist F.E.JAMIESON of a Scottish Loch and Highland landscape. This large antique oil painting by the famous and very collectable victorian artist F.E. JAMIESON has been clearly signed using one of his pseudo names RICHARDS. The famous victorian artist F.E.JAMIESON had over 15 pseudo names and the reason for this was because he was contracted by the famous furniture firm MAPLES to supply his paintings for their furnishing suites and these paintings were originally given as a gift by Maples & Co with every suite of furniture purchased from Maples & Co. However, to avoid his contract and earn more money for himself F.E. jamieson used at least 15 known pseudo names to earn himself extra money without having Maples & co involved. F.E. Jamieson was a prolific painter of Scotland , which he fell in love with and started to be fluent in painting aged just 13 years of age. F.E. Jamieson's antique oil paintings now fetch up to £2000 each depending on size and locations , so this antique oil painting on canvas by F.E.Jamieson is priced to sell at a trade price and is a good investment in art for any keen collector. There seems to have of been a small professional repair at sometime long ago in the sky, but you have to look very closely to know it was ever there. The signature of F.E. Jamieson's pseudo name RICHARDS is clearly seen in the bottom right hand corner. The colours of this large and impressive antique oil painting by F.E. Jamieson are still very bright and eye catching. He was a very accomplished painter.
